Reminders for your parents, in the only app they already use

Every reminder app has the same flaw for older parents: it's a new app. New icons, new logins, new notifications to accidentally turn off. The apps designed “for seniors” still assume someone will learn them.

WhatsApp is different — your parents already use it every day, for you. Pokobot turns that same chat list into their memory: medicine reminders, bill dates, doctor's appointments, all arriving as normal WhatsApp messages.

Set it up for them in one visit (or one phone call)

There's no account, no download, no settings. On your parent's phone, open a chat with Poko and text the first reminder — that's the entire setup. If you're far away, walk them through it on a call: “type this and send it.”

From then on, reminders arrive as messages from a friendly red panda. Reading a WhatsApp message is something they already do dozens of times a day.

The reminders that matter most

For most families it's three things: medicines on time, bills before the due date, and appointments not missed. Each is one text. The schedules keep running without anyone maintaining them — no batteries to change, no app updates to fear.

And because it's their own WhatsApp, reminders respect their routine: their timezone, their language of “after lunch” times, their pace.

Simple enough to manage themselves

The whole interface is words. “list” shows what's coming, “cancel 2” removes something, “help” explains everything again right in the chat. There is nothing to get lost in — if they can text, they can manage it.

Questions, answered

Do my parents need to install anything?
No. Pokobot is a WhatsApp chat. If WhatsApp is on their phone, they have everything they need.
Can I set up the reminders for them remotely?
The setup happens on their phone (reminders go to the number that texts Poko), but it's one message — easy to do together on a phone call, or in a minute on your next visit.
What if they don't type in English comfortably?
Keep the reminder texts short and simple — “medicine 9am every day” works. Poko is built for plain, natural phrasing rather than exact commands.
Is it safe? What can the bot see?
Poko only sees the messages sent to him — never other chats, contacts, or photos. He knows the reminders and nothing else.

Give your parents a gentle memory.
