- Is this free?
- Yes, and there is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit. The code is drawn in your browser and it is yours to print.
- Does the QR code expire?
- No. It is not a redirect through anybody's server, it is your wa.me link encoded directly into the pattern. Nothing to expire, nothing to keep paying for. The flip side is that it cannot be edited later: a new number means a new code.
- How big should I print it?
- A phone reads a code from roughly ten times its width, so a 40 mm code on a card is comfortable at arm's length, and a window code people read from the pavement wants to be 150 mm or more. Pick the spot above and the tool does that maths for you.
- PNG or SVG?
- PNG for a screen, a social post or a home printer. SVG for a print shop, a sticker run or anything that might be resized, because it stays sharp at any size.
- Can I put my logo in the middle?
- Not with this tool. A logo covers modules and leans on the code's error correction to still scan, which is a gamble on a printed thing you cannot take back. A clean code beside your logo works everywhere.
- Will the prefilled message survive the scan?
- Yes. The message is part of the link inside the code, so scanning opens the chat with the text already typed. The person still presses send.
- Does it work with WhatsApp Business?
- Yes. A Business account is reachable at the same link, so the same code works. WhatsApp Business also has its own in-app code, and this one does the same job while letting you prefill the message.
- Is my phone number stored anywhere?
- No. The code is generated in your browser as you type. Nothing is sent to our servers, and there is nothing for us to keep.
