Where are my reminders? How to find Google reminders now
Google Calendar and Google Assistant reminders now live in Google Tasks. Open the Google Tasks app on your phone or open Tasks inside Google Calendar on the web. A task with a date can also appear on your calendar when the Tasks calendar is visible. A task without a date stays in its Tasks list and will not appear on the calendar grid.
Google Keep reminders moved to Tasks in the second half of 2025. You can still reach them from Keep, but the reminder itself is managed through Google Tasks and Calendar. If you cannot find one, check the Google account, every task list, Pending tasks, Completed tasks, and whether the Tasks calendar is hidden. Google's current help pages were checked on 29 September 2026.
The short answer
Google no longer keeps Calendar and Assistant reminders in a separate Reminders product. Google completed their move to Google Tasks in 2023. When you ask Google Assistant or a supported Gemini experience to remind you about something, the result is generally a task in Google Tasks.
Keep reminders joined the same system later. Google says Keep reminders migrated to Tasks in the second half of 2025. New Keep reminders are saved as tasks, and you can view or manage them through Calendar, Gemini, Keep or Tasks. Mobile notifications come from the Tasks or Calendar app rather than Keep.

How to find your Google reminders on a computer
Start with Google Calendar because it offers both the calendar grid and a full-screen Tasks view. Do not stop after scanning today's date. A reminder may be undated, overdue, completed or stored in another list.
Confirm the Google account
Check the profile picture at the top right. If you use personal, work and school accounts, repeat the search in each account. Google Tasks does not combine all of them into one list.
Open Tasks in Google Calendar
Go to Google Calendar and open Tasks from the top bar or the right-hand side panel. The full-screen view shows task lists more clearly than searching one day on the calendar grid.
Check every task list
Use the list selector to open My Tasks and any list you created. Migrated reminders may not be in the list you normally use. Expand Completed within each likely list if the reminder may have been checked off.
Turn on the Tasks calendar
In the left panel under My calendars, make sure Tasks is checked. Only tasks with dates appear on the calendar, so this does not reveal undated tasks.
Open Pending tasks
Google Calendar can show uncompleted tasks from the last 365 days in its Pending tasks view. Use this for a reminder whose due date has already passed.
Search by a distinctive word
Look for a name, place or unusual phrase from the task rather than a generic word such as reminder. If the item came from Keep, open the task details and look for the From Keep label.
How to find reminders on Android, iPhone or iPad
Install or open the Google Tasks app and sign in to the account that created the reminder. Use the list selector to inspect every list, then expand Completed if necessary. A dated task should also appear in the Google Calendar app when Tasks is enabled in the calendar menu.
If you created the reminder by voice, do not assume it became a Clock alarm. A phrase such as “remind me to call Mum tomorrow” is handled as a Google task, while “set an alarm for 7am” belongs to the phone's Clock app. Open both if the wording was ambiguous.
On Android, Google says the Google, Google Tasks and Google Calendar apps can provide task notifications. When several are installed, only one may notify you. The reminder can exist correctly even when the app you expected to alert you stays silent.
Where did Google Keep reminders go?
Google Keep reminders moved to Google Tasks in the second half of 2025. The original note remains in Keep, while the timed reminder can be viewed, edited and completed from Keep, Tasks or Calendar. In a migrated task's details, From Keep links back to the note.
Google Keep no longer sends the mobile reminder notification itself. Install Calendar or Tasks and allow notifications. If an old Keep reminder had no repeat and was already more than a year old, Google says it is placed in a list named Old Google Keep Reminders.
Location-based Keep reminders did not keep their location trigger. Google puts the old location information in the migrated task description, but you can no longer create or receive that location-based Keep alert. Long reminder titles may also be shortened during migration, so inspect the linked note when a task looks incomplete.
Why a reminder may not appear in Google Calendar
Google Calendar is one view of your tasks, not the complete database. Work through these causes in order before assuming the reminder was deleted.
The task has no date
Undated tasks stay in their Google Tasks list. Add a date if you want the task to appear on the Calendar grid.
The Tasks calendar is hidden
Open the Calendar menu or My calendars list and enable Tasks. Hiding Tasks removes them from the grid but does not delete them or necessarily stop their notifications.
The reminder is overdue
Open Pending tasks for uncompleted items from the last 365 days. Older tasks remain in Google Tasks and may appear on their original due date rather than today's pending view.
It was completed
Open the likely task list and expand Completed. Check every list if the original destination is unclear.
It belongs to another account
Switch between your personal, work and school Google accounts. Calendar colour and profile icons are not enough if several accounts are open in the same browser.
Your administrator disabled Tasks
For a work or school account, the organisation controls access to Google Tasks. Contact the administrator if Tasks is absent from Calendar and Workspace side panels.
Why the reminder exists but never notified you
First open the task and confirm that it has a date and time. Google says a dated task with a time notifies at that time. A task with a date but no time notifies at 9am, and a task deadline also notifies at 9am local time on the deadline date.
Next check the notification permission for Google Tasks or Google Calendar. On Android, open Settings, Apps, Special app access, then Alarms and reminders, and allow Tasks to set alarms and reminders. Battery restrictions or an app that has not been used recently can also delay alerts on some Android phones.
If the Google, Calendar and Tasks apps are all installed, Google says only one may deliver the task notification. Test a harmless reminder due in two minutes and note which app alerts you. On iPhone and iPad, also check iOS notification settings and Focus modes for Tasks and Calendar.

What “my reminders” can mean across Google products
Google uses several scheduling systems that can look similar when they appear as notifications. Identifying the object prevents you from searching in the wrong app.

Ask Gemini or Google Assistant to show your tasks
Supported Gemini experiences can add, find, update and delete reminders in Google Tasks after Google Workspace is connected. Be explicit about Google Tasks when several reminder systems are available. For example, ask to show your Google Tasks due this week rather than asking broadly for reminders.
Treat the voice answer as a shortcut, not the only record. Google warns that AI-supported actions can make mistakes. Open the linked task or the Tasks app to confirm the account, title, date, time and repeat rule after creating or changing an important reminder.
Google Home voice assistants also store supported reminders as Google Tasks. In the Google Home app, task controls sit under the settings for Gemini for Home voice assistant or Google Assistant, depending on the device and account setup.
Export your tasks before changing systems
If the reminder is important or the migration history looks incomplete, make a backup before reorganising lists or deleting items. Google Tasks supports exporting task titles, descriptions, due dates, recurrence data, list information and completion status through Google's data download flow.
An export is a backup, not a repair button. It cannot restore deleted user data, and it may be less convenient to read than the Tasks app. Keep the archive untouched and use a copy if you need to inspect or convert it.
If you found the task but still miss the reminder
A storage problem and a delivery problem need different fixes. Google Tasks is useful when the task belongs beside Gmail and Calendar. If the task is present but its notification disappears into the rest of your phone alerts, test another delivery channel before moving your entire system.
