Christmas Day is December 25 every year.

Christmas Day is a public holiday in the US, the UK and most of Europe, and Boxing Day on December 26 is a holiday in the UK, Ireland and much of the Commonwealth. Which weekday it lands on decides how long the break is.

What slips is not the date. It is the last posting date for cards and parcels, the gift you meant to order in November, and the one relative you always forget. Each of those is a reminder.

Questions, answered

What day of the week is Christmas this year?
The countdown above shows the weekday for the next Christmas, and the list underneath shows the next three years.
When are the last posting dates?
They change each year and by carrier. In the UK, Royal Mail usually sets second class around December 18 and first class around December 20. Check your carrier and set the reminder a day earlier.
Is Boxing Day a holiday?
In the UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, yes. In the US, no.
How do the reminders work?
Each Remind me button opens WhatsApp with one message already typed for Poko, dated for this year's occurrence. You press Send, Poko confirms the date, and the message arrives on WhatsApp when it is due. Nothing is sent by this page.
