The best Structured app alternatives for planning your day

The best Structured alternative depends on why you are leaving. Tiimo is the closest match for a calm, visual day plan, especially for neurodivergent users. Pokobot is our second pick when the plan is fine but you miss the alerts, because it sends reminders and Google Calendar alerts as WhatsApp messages. TickTick is the best all-in-one value, Sunsama is best for planning a workday across work tools, and Google Calendar is the strongest free option.

Structured itself is a visual day planner that puts tasks and calendar events on one timeline. The free version covers most of the planning, while recurring tasks, calendar import, AI planning and custom notifications need Structured Pro. Before switching, check whether one of those Pro features would solve the problem for less than a new app.

Pokobot publishes this guide and ranks itself second, but it is not a timeline planner: it is a reminder contact inside WhatsApp. Tiimo remains first for people who want a Structured-style visual plan. We checked official product pages, help centers and US App Store listings on 7 October 2026. We did not accept payment for inclusion, and prices vary by region and change over time.

The short answer

Choose Tiimo if you like Structured's visual plan but want more support and a calmer design. Choose Pokobot if your plan is fine and the problem is swiping away its notifications. Choose TickTick for tasks, habits and a calendar in one inexpensive app, Sunsama for a guided workday built from your work tools, and Google Calendar if you want time blocking for free.

What Structured costs, and what Pro adds

Structured can be downloaded and used for free, and its help center says the app will never include ads or sell your data. The free version includes timeline, all-day and inbox tasks, subtasks and notes, icons and color coding, drag and drop, widgets, the energy monitor and notifications on iPhone and Android.

Structured Pro adds Structured AI, calendar import, Apple Reminders import, recurring tasks, Replan for rescheduling unfinished tasks, custom notifications, a custom color palette and premium icons. Not every Pro feature exists everywhere: Replan and Reminders import are iOS-only, and the web app has no notifications at all.

Structured does not publish one global price. On the US App Store on 7 October 2026, Structured Pro was listed at $2.99 to $7.99 a month, $9.99 to $34.99 a year (most often $29.99) and $99.99 for lifetime access. Your price depends on region and offer, so open Settings in the app and tap the Pro banner to see yours. The Pro trial lasts three days.

Why people look for apps like Structured

A replacement only helps if it fixes the reason you are unhappy. Name the problem first, because the best answer for each one is different.

  1. You need repeats or calendar import

If recurring tasks or calendar import are the only gaps, Structured Pro may be the cheapest fix. A yearly Structured plan usually costs less than a year of the paid alternatives in this guide.

  2. The plan breaks when the day changes

A fixed timeline can feel like failure by 11am. Look for a planner that handles a changing day differently, such as Sunsama's daily planning routine or a task list you work down in TickTick.

  3. You want a calmer, more supportive plan

Tiimo is designed around neurodivergent users, with visual timers, a softer interface and AI help that breaks tasks into steps.

  4. You plan well but miss the alerts

A new planner may not help if push notifications are what you ignore. Change where the alert arrives instead: Pokobot sends reminders and calendar alerts as WhatsApp messages.

1. Tiimo: best for a calm, visual day plan

Tiimo is the closest Structured alternative in spirit. It lays out the day as a color-coded visual schedule, adds countdown timers for tasks and subtasks, and includes an AI co-planner that helps break a task into steps and estimate how long it will take. Apple named it iPhone App of the Year in its 2025 App Store Awards.

Its difference is focus. Tiimo is built with neurodivergent users in mind, especially people with ADHD and autism, and its design aims to lower the mental load of planning rather than fit more into the day. It syncs with Apple Calendar and Reminders, offers widgets and Live Activities, and runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Android and the web.

The tradeoff is cost. The free version is limited, and the web app is for Pro subscribers only. On the US App Store, Tiimo Pro purchases were listed from $7 to $54 depending on the plan, and yearly subscriptions start with a 7-day free trial. Choose Tiimo if Structured feels too busy or too rigid. Stay with Structured if you mainly want a fast, inexpensive timeline.

2. Pokobot: best when you miss the alerts

Pokobot is not a planner, and it does not show your day as a timeline. It is a reminder contact inside WhatsApp. You send a sentence such as β€œremind me at 3pm to start the report,” check the confirmed time, and the reminder arrives as a WhatsApp message. Repeats such as β€œevery weekday at 9am” work the same way.

It ranks second because it fixes the part a new planner often doesn't: noticing the alert. If you link Google Calendar, Pokobot messages you 15 minutes before each timed event on your primary calendar, including time blocks you created yourself. That means you can plan your day in Google Calendar for free and get each nudge in the chat you already check all day.

The limits are clear. Pokobot has no visual timeline, drag and drop, energy tracking, widgets or permanent free plan, and it cannot tell whether you did the task. Every feature is available during a 7-day trial with no card required, and reminders need a paid subscription afterwards. Use it alongside a planner, or on its own if a few timed nudges are all the plan you need.

3. TickTick: best all-in-one value

TickTick combines a to-do list with calendar views, a habit tracker and a Pomodoro focus timer. With Premium, tasks can have a start and end time and be arranged on the calendar, which turns it into a practical time-blocking planner rather than only a list.

The free plan works well as a list, with up to 9 lists of 99 tasks each, natural-language dates, reminders and sync. The calendar views that make it a Structured alternative are part of Premium, listed at $49.99 a year or $4.99 a month on the US App Store. It runs on iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows and the web.

Choose TickTick when you want tasks, habits and a day plan in one place and are comfortable with a denser, more traditional interface. It is less visual and less calming than Structured or Tiimo.

4. Sunsama: best for planning a workday

Sunsama is built around a guided daily planning routine. Each morning you pull in tasks from your work tools, set a realistic goal for the day and timebox the work onto your calendar. It connects with tools such as Asana, Jira, Linear, Notion, Todoist, Trello, Gmail, Slack and Google Calendar.

It is the most expensive option here and has no free plan. Sunsama lists Pro at $22 a month, or $17 a month billed annually, with a 14-day trial that needs no card. It runs on the web, Mac, Windows, Linux, iPhone, iPad and Android.

Choose Sunsama when your tasks already live in several work apps and the hard part is picking a realistic day. For a personal routine with a few appointments, it is more tool than you need.

5. Google Calendar: best free option

If you mostly use Structured to block out time, Google Calendar can do it for free. Create events for your time blocks, or add tasks with a start time and deadline, and see them together in Day or Week view. Repeating events and tasks cost nothing either.

It is not as pleasant to plan in. Undated tasks sit in a side panel rather than in the day itself, there are no energy levels or visual timers, and its notifications are ordinary calendar alerts. The cheapest working setup is to build your blocks as events in Google Calendar and let Pokobot message you on WhatsApp before each one.

Which Structured alternative should you choose?

Choose Tiimo for the closest visual plan with more support. Choose Pokobot when your plan is fine but you keep missing the reminder. Choose TickTick for the best value across tasks, habits and a calendar. Choose Sunsama for a workday shaped by several work tools, and Google Calendar when free matters most.

Whichever you pick, test it for a week of real days, including one that goes wrong. A planner earns its place on the day your schedule falls apart, not on the day everything goes to plan.

Can Pokobot replace Structured?
Only if you do not need a visual timeline. Pokobot sends reminders and Google Calendar alerts as WhatsApp messages, but it has no drag-and-drop day view. It works best alongside a planner or calendar rather than as a replacement for one.
