# When is Passover 2027?

> When is Passover 2027? Countdown to the first Seder, how long Pesach lasts, and WhatsApp reminders for the Seder shop, the guests and clearing the chametz.

Starts at sunset on Wednesday, April 21, 2027. Passover begins at sunset before 15 Nisan. The first Seder is the evening of 21 April 2027 and 10 April 2028. It lasts seven days in Israel and eight in the diaspora.

Passover, or Pesach, marks the exodus from Egypt and is the most cooked-for holiday of the year. The Seder on the first night needs the table, the guests and the food settled well before sunset.
The part people underestimate is the week before: clearing chametz from the house, and buying kosher-for-Passover food before the shelves empty.
