# Days until Memorial Day 2027

> How many days until Memorial Day 2027? Countdown to the last Monday of May, the long weekend that opens summer, and WhatsApp reminders for travel and plans.

It falls on Monday, May 31, 2027. Memorial Day is the last Monday of May.

Memorial Day honours those who died in military service and, as the last Monday of May, opens the summer season. Pools open, campsites fill, and it is one of the heaviest travel weekends of the year.
Book the weekend three weeks out; the good campsites and cabins are gone after that.

**Are shops open?** Yes, mostly with sales. Banks and government offices close.

**How do the reminders work?** Each Remind me button opens WhatsApp with one message already typed for Poko, dated for this year's occurrence. You press Send, Poko confirms the date, and the message arrives on WhatsApp when it is due. Nothing is sent by this page.
