# Days until the Fourth of July 2027

> How many days until the Fourth of July 2027? Countdown to Independence Day, the weekday it falls on and the observed holiday, with WhatsApp reminders for the barbecue and travel.

It falls on Sunday, July 4, 2027. Independence Day is 4 July. When it falls on a Saturday the federal holiday is observed on Friday 3 July; on a Sunday, Monday 5 July.

The Fourth is a federal holiday. Which weekday it lands on decides whether it becomes a long weekend, and the observed day shifts when it hits the weekend.
Fireworks, barbecues and travel all peak the same day. Book early, shop the day before.
